The Blue Cross of India was a restricted grantee of CHAL this year.  At its Velacheri hospital, nearly 7,000 animals were sterilized, most of them street dogs. Save Our Strays

CHAL’s $1,000 grant helped us hold vaccination camps in six slums of Mumbai, where there are high concentrations of street dogs, generally viewed unfavorably by residents. Nearly 550 dogs and cats were vaccinated. That aside, Save Our Strays sterilized and vaccinated 30 more dogs at Rs.1,000 per dog and 11 cats at Rs. 35 each. [...]
