Thanks to our many donors with big hearts and generous hands, CHAL was able to make three grants over the course of the lockdown these past three months to Blue Cross of India, Chennai for a total of $20,250.
The $$ were provided exclusively for the feeding of stray animals in and around Chennai. Planning and logistics were a challenge in the clamped down conditions but the dedicated team of Blue Cross, armed with volunteers and 150 plus community feeders pulled it off, providing approx. 95,000 needed meals to the starving and confused critters on the streets.
As we post this update, the second lockdown just started in Chennai again and runs till the end of the month. Your support and donations during this ongoing pandemic is much appreciated.
